Having taken time to get the project underway, what seemed to be a well advanced restoration needed rework. So, going back to basics I've disassembled the body and had it soda blasted. I chose to soda blast all of the exterior facing panels as I didn't want to risk any warping of the sheet metal. Easier said than done. The major of the panels survived quite well, however the doors and boot lid will need some further medical help. So, what did I find....well as expected when you've got four layers of different coloured paint and a nice thick coat of spray putty.....much work to do.
So, now that the body is back and I've purchased new metal to put back in what no longer existed......here we go.
